How To Choose Hunting Video Production Equipment
|
When choosing a good camera suitable for making hunting videos, you\'ll need something lightweight which is easy to carry. A high zoom lens will also be necessary, preferably optical zoom because digital zoom will pixilate the image making it unsuitable for distribution. Also a LANC, also called Control-L, input will be necessary to connect a LANC remote. A new option on the market are DSLR cameras that also record HD video. These cameras like the Canon Mark 5D II, Panasonic GH-1 or Nikon D5000 are lightweight, record excellent images and excellent video. The ability to change lenses can also be benefitial to suit changing situations while in the field. See what can be used with DSLRs here.
But to produce a high quality video takes more than a good camera. To create interesting video to hold your audience\'s attention, a camera crane would, without a doubt do the trick. If you\'re hunting deer or turnkey, it\'s possible to set up a crane remotely and get an above ground view of the animals. You can even control the zoom and record functions of the camera by using a LANC remote and extension cables. But to see what you\'re recording, you\'ll need a video monitor. Finally a good tripod or stabilizer will add professionality to your shots.
With the right equipment combined with your creativity anything is possible.
